Drool worthy.

Image sourced from Temptalia.com

Check out the new brushes coming out with the upcoming Brunette Blonde Redhead MAC collection.
I love me some brushes and will be getting all three for sure.
The 165 looks good for cheek application (the MSF's that are coming out with the same collection im assuming).
The 226 is a bit like a hybrid of the 224,222 and 219. A pointed blending brush perfect for precise blending and the crease area.
The 224 look like a smaller 227. Perfect for a more precise venture into highlighting and all over shadow. This one also looks like it could tackle under eye shadow aswell.

The brushes are all limited edition except for the 226 which will go permanent at free standing stores. So get em while there hot, not to mention the MSF's, lip products and eyeshadows (Henna looks lush!)

Brunette Blonde Redhead launches Jan 8th in the States and probably about a month later in Australia.

EDIT: ok for some reason the picture keeps getting cut off so go to Temptalia.com if you cant to see the full image.

My Favourite Summer Nailpolish.

So usually I rock dark nail polish but I yesterday I was in DJ's and stumbled upon this little beauty and though purrrrfect. It actually looks more Lilac in life than it photographs but is still eyecatching without being neon or black/dark blue/purple.

It's perfect for summer BUT I usually love OPI nail polishes, the finish is usually really great and applies easily but this one applied kind of streaky and the finish is a little bit chalky so I had to use a top coat, which I never do because Im super lazy.

I hate when I find something I like and then theres just that one thing that puts you off. This nail polish is too pretty to dismiss though and im still gonna be rocking it this summer!

The Day From HELL.

So boys and girls today was crap.
It was freaking hot, way too hot. I went to my friends 20th BBQ with the BF and managed to run into the exBF. Which is never good. I hate the boy so much my hands were shaking when I saw him. Long long story which I dont want to bore you guys with.

Also, I brought the wrong eyeshadow palette with me so had to wear smokey green eyes instead of my trademark feel good black.
Awesome.
Then some drunk spilt beer all over my new nikes. Thanks.

BUT Im going out tonight to see Kanye/NAS/ Scribe. So hopefully my cursed day clears up or i will cry.
No makeup posts today but CHECK ME OUT ON YOUTUBE (Im too lazy to upload videos here) and wish me luck for the rest of my day.

Love your Face

Philosophy: Hope in a Jar (Original Formula)

I bought this stuff in Sephora back in September when I was in the states and have been using it everyday as my day moisturizer, it has replaced my beloved Lancome HydraFusion so you know I must have something good to say about it.

When I was in Hawaii I got a little burnt on my nose and my skin started to peel but I used this stuff a couple times a day and within a day or two my skin was back to normal! Yay no peeling. I also get dry skin around my nose and chin and this stuff has been doing wonders. I actually like it a bit more than Clinique's Superdefense which is my night moisturizer.

It does have negatives though, for one it doesn't contain any SPF, so hopefully you put some on anyway or your foundation contains it.
The second is that it contains fragrances like lavender which can be irritating to some skin types, I haven't had a problem with it though.

Forgive Me!

I have been so busy lately finishing off school for the year, I cant wait!

Last week I went to the MAC preview night for Red She Said with a friend of mine. None of the stuff really grabbed me or didn't look like something I already had so the only thing I got was Sugarrimmed Dazzleglass, which I LOVE! I love all the dazzleglasses because they are  sheer and work well on top of lipsticks AND have a hefty amount of shimmer.
But I dont love that they are twice the size of a normal lipglass but seem to have half the product. If you use lipgloss regularly you can use these babies up in one to two weeks.

I digress though, Sugarrimmed is a really nice colour for going over lipsticks to add a bit of shimmer but not kill the actual colour.
Whats your favourite Dazzleglass? Do you even like them?

So this is just a little personal blog. I will be away for two weeks, I leave on SAturday.
Im going to Hawaii and LA for two weeks with my family and wont be able to post much, but when I come back there will be some BIG changes to my blog.

Expect videos, more product reviews, and maybe if anyone is interested a HUGE haul from all the stuff I will be buying. I've been saving up big time and I will be treating myself! I might also post some photos from my travels and start posting more stuff about myself.

I will try to get a few product reviews up before I leave but I'm gonna be SUPER busy for the next week with wrapping up all my university work!

Hope everyone is good and leave me some comments to let me know what you guys WANNA SEE!!!

Product Spotlight

Nivea Visage: Extra Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

This stuff is the business! The picture is the new packaging, I think they only recently switched the packaging over so it might look a little different when you buy it buts its the same product.

I have tried TONNES of makeup removers and this one is still the one I think works the best for the price.
It is super gentle, doesn't sting the eyes at all and it's not greasy like alot of makeup removers are.
It also really works! It gets all your makeup off and leaves your eye feeling fresh and clean and not like you just poured oil or alcohol on your face.

For the price I think this is one of the best makeup removers in the market, which is nice cause you can afford to buy two! I keep one at home and one at my boyfriends and never have to be worries about getting caught with panda eyes in the morning, if I drove I would keep it in my car! You also get quite a lot of product so it lasts a while but it deffinitley goes a long way.

I love the packaging because hole that the actual product comes out of is the perfect size for you to stick in a cotton bud (q-tip) squeeze on the bottle to coat the tip and then you have precise control for touchups or removal!

Hair Aware

Ojon Hair: Hydrating Styling Cream

I am not as Hair product obsessed as I am for other beauty products, I put it down to my first job at a hair salon being more on the side of slave labour, but I really dig Ojon.

This cream has little brown flecks in it which contain the Ojon, you basically squirt some in your palm, rub your hands together for a bit and then use it to style your hair. It has really good staying power, I use it to give my hair more volume through the back and smooth pieces in the front and it works a treat! It also smells really good but not like candy like lots of hair products.

I also really like it because it doesn't leave my hair feeling like its got product in it, it feels natural, not stiff or greasy which is quite rare for a hair product. It's also got a bit of the double whammy factor because while you can use it as a styling cream it also acts as a leaving in hydrating cream which is really nice to take away some of the damage if you are straightening or blow drying your hair.

Product Rating: 4/5
Packaging: 4/5
Value for Money: 3.5/5

Ojon Hair products are available at David jones in Australia and Sephora in the US.
The Hydrating Styling Cream retails for $30(US) and $37 (AUD) for 4.3 fl. oz.

Beauty Faves!

Lucas Paw Paw Ointment

I Love Lucas Paw Paw Ointment! In a tub or the tube I don't care; I love it all! I use it everywhere, on my lips, face, eyelashes, bites, cuts, bruises, burns, dry skin, my toast (not really but you get that point)

The packaging tells me that its made from "fermented papaya" which sounds sort of gross and probably should have been left off. It has no odour, fruity or otherwise and is super conditioning! In my humble opinion this is a better lip conditioner than the Laura Mercier Lip Silk which people rave about but that I bought and thought "hmm seems like overpriced Lucas". Lucas Paw Paw has a similar texture to the LM lip silk, sort of like a creamier Carmex.

Seriously Lucas Paw Paw is the business and if you don't have it you should and then you will think "How have i lived my life without this for so long, thanks so much Beauty Fill!" and I will smile knowing that I have done my job

Product Rating: 5/5
Packaging: 3/5
Value for Money: 100/5 (no joke that's how good it is)

Lucas Paw Paw Ointment retails for around $5 (AUD & US) for 25g

Product Spotlight

NARS: The Multiple in Copacabana

I picked up my first one of these a couple of weeks ago from Mecca Cosmetica (I love Mecca but that is a whole other post) because I had heard so much about them online.

I picked the most neutral shade which is Copacabana, it is a nude colour with pink pearls. initially I was a bit sceptical about how well it would work because the product itself comes in a  stick like a big lipstick, i couldn't imagine rubbing it all over myself.

Although it is called "The Multiple" I could only find two uses for the product, perhaps other shades are more versatile. It works really well as a highlighter; use the edge of the product to highlight the areas on your face that the sun would naturally hit, such as the bridge of your nose and your cheekbones, and then blend it in well with your finger or a Kabuki brush. You could also use it on your decolletage for a nice touch on a night out.

I also used it as an eyeshadow base which was nice because it is quite sheer but has a buildable coverage and it didn't crease.

I couldn't help but think how nice this would look on your skin after a day in the sun, you would just glow! Like down the front of your legs to make them pop when there nice and tanned, yowza!

Overall I think it is a nice product and would love to try some of the other shades!

Product Rating: 3.5/5
Packaging: 3.5/5 (the rubberized compacts NARS makes always show dirt so fast!)
Value for Money: 1/5 (but better in the Us)

Nars the Multiple retails for $85.00 (AUD)/ $37.00 (US) for 14grams

First Post!

Hi All!

First a bit about me - My name is Hannah and I'm a nineteen year old student that lives in Sydney, Australia.

I have no formal makeup training but I have a huge interest and a passion for makeup and beauty. My favourite makeup brands (and probably the ones I will talk about most often) are MAC, Nars and Stila, although I consider myself to be an equal opportunity makeup user and the makeup I use is in no way limited to these brands. Basically I love finding great products that get me excited about waking up and putting on my face.

I don't only love makeup but beauty products in general, from moisturizer to sunscreen, nail polis to shampoo, my aim is to deliver information about products that might not be the cheapest OR the most exspensive but that WORK!!

So let someone else do the dirty work and READ ON!!
